Marcus Rashford pulled one back for Barcelona in stoppage time of the first half with his first La Liga goal. However, two late goals by Sevilla secured their win.

In the second half, Barcelona performed better and had a penalty awarded to them in the 73rd minute after Alessandro Balde was fouled in the box. Unfortunately, Lewandowski missed the penalty by shooting wide. Sevilla then sealed the game with goals from Jose Angel Carmona and Akor Adams in stoppage time.
